Jägerschnitzel, souvlaki, and pork loin were very tasty and large portions. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The prices are justified for these portions and we had a great afternoon.

After our favorite pizzeria (La Strada) is on vacation, we switched to the Alte Backhaus due to the many good reviews. Pizza Speziale and Pizza Natur ... I rarely ate such bad pizza :-( Nothing at all went together. The soil is mediocre and very salty. The garlic stands out, the cheese with a burnt aftertaste. No recommendation.

Back to the seventies - the bakery, a Herzogenaurach time machine with good beer and good food.

Very good restaurant. Good pizzas and the rest of the food on the menu is very good. Long-time owners and regular customers testify to the quality. Normal price level. Beer garden available in summer. Separate room can be separated. Weekends soccer broadcasts. Limited parking in the adjacent streets.

Nice place to sit outside. Service very nice. No long waits until the food comes.

The food is very good and plentiful. The prices are correct too. But not to heat at an outside temperature of 7 degrees, was anything but good.

We go more or less regularly to the old bakery for dinner. And I must say, it was always delicious and plentiful! Beautiful garden to sit outside. Nice waitresses. That's why 5 stars!

The food is good, but not so good that I would wait another 1.5 hours. Yes, it is summer and it was relatively crowded, but that is no justification for such a long wait without a single apology from the wait staff. In addition, a forgotten food came, for which no statement was made. On the demand of the long wait was only indifferent and not responsive. - unprofessional, not recommended

As an english speaker, it's always nice to find a place to eat when in a foreign country that can communicate in English. Atmosphere is great, food is great. Only down side is lack of variety with pizza options.

"no wait" must be a joke. I went here twice last year- once with my partner and then with a group. Both occasions we waited over 45 mins for food. 2nd time we even made a reservation, then arrived there to stand at the bar and wait till they emptied a table for us. They seemed severely understaffed, the waiteresses looked inexperienced and clearly didn't know what to do, and talking to the floor manager didn't help at all. The food was quite good, but not worth the waiting time at all. Wouldn't go back, wouldn't recommend.

Supper

I came with a coworker on a weeknight for dinner, and it was pretty empty. It looked like they had a lot of tables that were reserved, so they seated us in the back corner. The service was good, we were never waiting for long to get refills or the bill. I ordered the steak, which I think was from Argentina. I ordered medium rare and definitely got a medium. It was a pretty good steak, not as good as Kleine Welt's, but still good for the price you pay. I ordered two little bottles of Mumm's wines. They were alright.

One of the best places in Herzo for dinner.. Have being there a couple of times and haven't being disappointed.. Their lamb chops are the best
